Royal auction
To be auctioned 02.03.22 is a collection of royal furniture, belonging to the Danish King, Christian IX from his residence north of Copenhagen, the Bernstorff House. The small royal palace was the setting of the princess Dagmars engagement to the grandduke Alexander, and it was the favorite summer residence for the old king and his immediate famly. The King used Bernstorff House from 1863 until his death in 1906. The Bernstorff House was the setting and witness to summer holidays in that period, with visits from all royal european dynasties.
